DR. CLAUDIA NATANSON
CISO, Diageo Plc
Chair, CEP

Dr. Claudia Natanson is Chair of the Corporate Executive Programme and brings to the CEP 15 years experience in the fields of Information Technology and Information Security. She is currently Chief Information Security Officer for Diageo. Her current role involves setting the strategy, policy and processes for information security across Diageo's 180 global and divergent markets.

Before joining Diageo, Dr. Natanson was Head of British Telecom's Secure Business Services. In this role, she founded the UK's first commercial globally accredited Computer Emergency Response Team. She then went on to form and accredit BT's commercial Computer Security Incident Response team.
Dr. Natanson is currently, a Board member and Steering Committee member of the world Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) (www.first.org). She remains active in working with security teams in Europe through TF-CSIRT's TRANSITS course, where she has been both author and tutor for the organisational module. She is active in a number of European Commission initiatives for computer networks, and is regular speaker and journal contributor in the global security arena.

Dr. Natanson holds a B.Sc. in Nuclear Chemistry, MSc. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computers and Education.


BEN CHAI

Ben Chai was one of the first UK engineers to receive both the prestigious Microsoft MCSE and Novell MCNE qualifications and qualify as a Microsoft Certified Trainer. For a number of years Ben Chai was Technical Marketing Director of a leading UK Microsoft partner where he lead a team of consultants and engineers providing Windows business solutions to the financial and oil industries such as Citibank, Natwest, United Bank of Switzerland to name a few.

He has been the managing and technical editor for many of the original major UK Windows magazines such as NT Channel, NT Explorer and Back Office magazine (now ESM magazine). 

Ben wrote the MS Press book on Migrating from Windows NT to Windows 2000 and was on the team of writers who put together the Windows 2000 Resource Kit.  In addition he was co-author of the Official Microsoft Operations Manager training course.

As a trainer Ben has taught for many of the Microsoft training partners and for Microsoft themselves predominantly on operating systems, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SMS.

He is also the editor and security writer for a number of on-line sites and often writes special reports and produces podcasts for both the end-user and vendor aspects of the security and learning industry.


PETER WOOD
Chief of Operations, First Base Technologies

Peter is a world-renowned security evangelist, speaking at conferences and seminars on ethical hacking techniques and social engineering. He has appeared in documentaries for BBC television, provided commentary on security issues for TV and radio and written many articles on a variety of security topics. He has also been rated the British Computer Society’s number one speaker.

Peter serves on the ISACA conference committee for the Information Security Management Conference and Network Security Conference in both the US and Europe, as well as speaking at both events.

Peter has worked in the electronics and computer industries since 1969. He has extensive experience of communications and networking, with hands-on knowledge of many large-scale systems. Peter’s board-level responsibilities have included sales, marketing and technical roles, giving him a broad industry view.

Peter founded First Base Technologies in May 1989 as a services-only consultancy, providing security testing and audit services to clients including B&Q, Bradford & Bingley, Co-operative Group, the Learning & Skills Council, Skipton Building Society and Xchanging. Peter has hands-on technical involvement in the firm on a daily basis, working in areas as diverse as penetration testing, social engineering and skills transfer.

Peter is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Chartered IT Professional. He is a member of the BCS Register of Security Specialists and a CISSP. He is also a member of ACM, IEEE, IISP, IMIS, ISACA, ISSA and Mensa.
