Global Risk Round Table Meeting – 25 January 2012

This month’s roundtable meeting in London should have something for everyone. Richard Hollis is an expert on PCI compliance and at the meeting he will be turning his focus on compliance in the cloud. I heard Richard speak on this topic at a conference in Barcelona recently - it was highly informative and pragmatic as well as entertaining. Gavin Kenny of Atos will also be giving his view on the security issues of working in the cloud, then both speakers will facilitate a discussion on cloud security. After lunch Frank Wintle will be speaking about a recent social engineering exercise he conducted a for a major UK organisation, then he and I will lead a roundtable on social engineering and whether it can help with the perennial problem of raising staff awareness on security issues. The third topic will be a discussion led by Mike Yaffe of Core Insight which he has called “making sense of BIG security data”. As usual with CEP events we will conclude with a plenary session encompassing roundtable feedback and an open house discussion.
